1967 Nova

It was a family project that took several years to complete. Our family does a lot of NHRA and IRHA Drag racing each year. This project kept getting put on the "back burner" due to our racing commitments. This year I heard that "Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week" was going to be in our area. I entered the car for "Drag Week" so we had to get the car finished!
I ran the entire race schedule which requires driving the car from Drag Strip to Drag Strip over 1000 miles. We ran an average ET of 11:52. The car is the original Marina Blue with factory vinyl top, 406 SB, Powerglide, 9" Ford rear, Heidts Suspension

1959 Edsel Ranger

It’s a 1959 Edsel Range, 4 door sedan, which is all original (repainted in 2013 - original colors of Snow White and Petal Yellow). It still has it’s 292ci V8 (200hp) engine with 42,000 miles. Trans is a 2 speed Mile-O-Matic automatic and complete original interior.
I think it’s definitely a driver and I really get a lot of looks when I’m on the road. I love going to weekly cruise-ins and occasional shows, especially because of the great people I meet. My favorites are Friday nights at the Big Lots in Elyria and Saturday night at the Dinner Bell Drive-In, then the huge benefit show in Vermilion called Mill Hollow.

Our 1965 Impala. My wife of 44 years and I dated in a car just like this. I looked for a long time for one the same color in and out, and finally found one. It has a 383ci stroker motor with 405 HP, TH 350, Hooker Headers. We really like to go to cruise-ins in our area. We also have a 1962 Impala. 283, TH 350. A real cruiser.

Here’s my “Photo Fleet” of early Beetles which include: a 1969 Beetle all original with only 31,167 miles; a 1957 Black Beetle only the fenders have been re-painted and has 42,659 miles on it and a 1961 all original Beetle with only (get this) 11,352 miles!
